Florida Assesses Damage After Hurricane Michael

Florida residents hit by Hurricane Michael have begun assessing damage to their homes. Michael made landfall Wednesday as a Category 4 storm, with winds of about 250 kilometers per hour and heavy rain. Alabama, Georgia and South and North Carolina also were affected. At least six people were killed. The hurricane devastated the Florida Panhandle, while flash flooding threatens other states. Nearly 700,000 homes and businesses were without electricity Thursday.
