VENEZUELA: INTERNATIONAL CRIMINAL COURT ANNOUNCES OPENING OF PRELIMINARY

On 8 February 2018, the Office of the Prosecutor at the International Criminal Court (ICC) announced that a preliminary investigation examination was being opened into the human rights situation in Venezuela. For the moment, Amnesty International will not make a public statement on this, but will continue to monitor and evaluate the actions of the ICC.
