Scientists Claim Breakthrough in Race to Build Revolutionary Quantum Computer

((INTRO)) Scientists in Britain say they have overcome a key obstacle to creating the world’s first quantum computer. Such a machine would be exponentially faster than the computers we use today and could revolutionize our understanding of the world around us.
