Alerted by both the "Democracy in Armenia" group and the Civil Society Institute (an FIDH affiliate) to the violent repression that followed the presidential elections in this country in February 2008, the undersigned lawyers and jurist were mandated by the President of the Paris Bar Association (M. le Bâtonnier de l'Ordre des Avocats de Paris) and the International Union of Lawyers (l'Union Internationale des Avocats) on one hand and, on the other hand, the FIDH (International Federation of Human Rights). - www.fidh.org [english]
