Mandela coffin returns to hospital overnight

ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) STORY: Nelson Mandela's body was returned to a military hospital where it will remain overnight Wednesday, after thousands queued to say goodbye to the anti-apartheid hero. Military officials carried the coffin in a black hearse and members of the Mandela family looked on while a military band played. The body of South Africa's first black president will be returned to the building where he was inaugurated in 1994 on Thursday for a second day of lying-in state. Several people fainted in the stifling heat as South Africans waited their turn to file past Mandela's casket after family members, foreign dignitaries and celebrities paid their respects at the imposing Union Buildings, perched on a hill overlooking the city.
