Le Secrétaire général des Nations Unies, Ban Ki-moon, a annoncé vendredi la nomination de Jennifer Welsh, du Canada, en tant que sa Conseillère spéciale, avec rang de Sous-Secrétaire générale. Elle succédera à M. Edward Luck, des États-Unis, qui a quitté ce poste en juin 2012 et à l'égard duquel le Secrétaire général est très reconnaissant.
