Israel's Supreme Court has turned down an appeal against his rape conviction by former president Moshe Katsav. He will now begin serving his seven-year sentence, which the court also upheld, on December 7. Katsav was convicted of twice raping an aide in the 1990s when he was a minister, then molesting or sexually harrassing two other women while he was president.
