La ministre des Affaires étrangères israélienne, Tsipi Livni, a annoncé le 24 février 2008, lors du congrès global contre l’antisémitisme tenu à Jérusalem, qu’Israël ne participera pas à la conférence de l’ONU contre le racisme qui se tiendra à Durban en 2009. Rappelons que le Canada a confirmé qu’il se retirait aussi de cette conférence il y a quelques semaines.
