In your article, Dr. Teboul, as does Israel, on the expulsion of the Israelis in Egypt you conveniently leave out the expulsion of the residents, violently, by Israel, of the Sinai Peninsula. In this article, and your interviewee, as does Israel, conveniently leave out the harms done to the indigenous Palestinians, with no say by them, by Britain, United Nations, U.S., and Israel; that they are occupied even in the lands partitioned to them, experience a far worse quality of life; that Israel holds thousands of kidnapped and tortured Palestinians hostage; that Israel constantly tortures Palestinians through theft, domination, abuse, torture, expulsions, withholding of every kind of resource, violence, and murder, culminating in the worst hate crime of all: genocide.

Re - Your Facebook Post and your reaction which we have posted above.
Ms Rhoda F. Taylor

Hello Ms Taylor,
I have read your post which was addressed to me on your Facebook page as well as in this Section.
Please note, however, that the article you are referring to is, in fact, an interview I conducted with Dr Neil Caplan in 2009 on the publication of his book "The Israel-Palestine Conflict. Contested Histories" https://www.tolerance.ca/Article.aspx?ID=42424&L=en
The article does not reflect my opinion on this tragic conflict.
Furthermore, the content of the article, published 15 years ago, does not approve in any way the tragedy inflicted on the Palestinian population.
During the interview, as can be seen in the text of the article, I raise myself this issue in the following words :
"Given the high number of Palestinian civilians killed and wounded during Israel’s heavy armed attack on Gaza in December 2008 and January 2009, is it possible that Palestinians will overcome the memories of this tragic episode and consider peace with the Israelis?"
We have also covered opposition views to Zionism extensively on Tolerance.ca as can be seen in the following articles published on anti-Zionist Jewish author and University of Montreal professor, Dr Yakov Rabkin, with whom I also conducted a lengthy interview, which was published on Tolerance.ca.
Both of these articles can be found by following those two links :
On the expulsion of Palestinians, you may be interested, among other articles, in the following analysis on Tolerance.ca : La « guerre civile » en Israël vient-elle réellement de débuter ?https://www.tolerance.ca/Article.aspx?ID=490558&L=fr
As far as what you refer to as "the expulsion of the Israelis in Egypt", please note that there never have been "Israelis" in Egypt, but indeed Jewish Egyptians, who were not necessarily Zionists when thousands of them were expelled by the Nationalistic government of Gamal Abdel Nasser in 1956. Furthermore, the families of those Jews were living in Egypt for several generations.
I do hope, Ms Taylor, you will find the above information useful.
Please accept my kind regards.
