Colorado Police preparing to Enter Home of Mass Shooting Suspect

Bomb squad experts in the U.S. state of Colorado are preparing to enter the booby trapped home of the man accused of opening fire in a crowded movie theater, killing 12 people.

Law enforcement officials with robots and other protective equipment returned to the apartment of James Holmes on Saturday, a day after his alleged shooting rampage in the city of Aurora. Dozens of people were wounded. Eleven survivors are in critical condition.

Holmes is in police custody. Investigators say the motive for the attack is unclear.

Both President Barack Obama and House Speaker John Boehner offered condolences to the victims and their families in Saturday's weekly addresses.

Obama said the massacre was "beyond reason," and if there is anything to learn from the tragedy, "it's a reminder that life is fragile."  He added, "for those parents who may not be so fortunate, we need to embrace them and let them know we will be there for them as a nation."
