Cannabis coffee pods are about to become compatible with millions of household Keurig machines

Good news for the one person who prefers to drink their marijuana. A coffee company called BrewBudz is making coffee and marijuana pods that fit in a Keurig coffee machine. The single-serve pods, or K-cups, will cost $7 each and be available starting in March. They’ll also be selling decaffeinated coffee, teas, and hot cocoa pods that are mixed with marijuana. There is currently a campaign to kill the K-cup, as they are horrible for the environment. In 2014, enough K-Cups were sold that if placed end-to-end, they would circle the globe 10 and a half times. They usually all end up in landfills and aren’t recyclable.BrewBudz promises their k-cups will have 100% compostable packaging. “When composted correctly, the pod can break down in as little as 5 weeks, leaving no toxic residue,” it says on their website. So there you go, as soon as March 2017, you’ll be able to enjoy a nice drug-filled yet guilt-free breakfast to start your day.
