Survey: Afghans More Pessimistic About Future Than Before

A new survey has determined that approximately 70 percent of Afghans believe their country is moving in the wrong direction, showing the lowest level of optimism in more than a decade. “The national mood in Afghanistan is at a record low, and Afghans are pessimistic because of insecurity, corruption, and rising unemployment and slow job growth,” according to the annual survey by the San Francisco-based Asia Foundation released Wednesday.
