Annan Urges Respect for Civilians in West Myanmar Violence

Secretary-General Kofi Annan, seeking reconciliation among ethnic groups in fractious western Myanmar, has urged the army to respect civilians' rights as concerns rise about treatment of the Rohingya minority.
