UN Security Council Votes Down Syrian Cease-Fire Resolution

The 15-member United Nations Security Council has voted down a resolution calling for a seven-day cease-fire in the northern Syrian city of Aleppo, after Russia complained the vote would undermine other negotiations aimed at ending months of fighting in the city.
