Plane Carrying Mike Pence Skids Off New York Runway

A plane carrying Republican vice presidential candidate Mike Pence skidded off the runway during heavy rain Thursday night as it landed at New York’s LaGuardia Airport. No one was hurt, and Pence was seen in television pictures standing outside the plane shaking hands with firefighters who rushed to the scene.
