Tourists Stranded Above the Alps in Cable Cars

Tangled cable car lines have left scores of tourists stranded overnight, hanging above the glaciers of Mont Blanc in the Alps. Rescuers were dispatched to the high-altitude hanging cars late Thursday afternoon after employees of the cable car company failed to untangle the lines.  Dozens of people were rescued by helicopters, but dozens more remained in the cars when the rescue operation was suspended because of deteriorating weather conditions.
