Jamie Flynn Flies Wingsuit Past Rio’s Christ The Redeemer

A BRITISH skydiver took to the skies of Rio De Janeiro to wing suit past the iconic Christ the Redeemer statue. Jamie Flynn, 29, from Kent, has taken the saying ‘getting closer to God’ a little bit too literal, after his latest stunt saw him flying past the famous statue in the Olympic city in a wing suit. Jamie’s previous stunts include a 140ft base jump off of Twickenham Stadium in London and flying 236 metres over Istanbul in Turkey. In January 2016, the experienced skydiver took in beautiful views of the Olympic city showing why Rio is known as the 'Cidade Maravilhosa', which translates to 'marvellous city.' The jump - which took weeks of preparation - was coordinated by sports equipment manufacturer, G-Form with the help of cameraman Sam Hardy and Brazilian native Gustavo, who was keen to help Jamie.
