American Swimmer Ledecky Breaks World Record, Phelps Wins Gold

American swimming star Katie Ledecky smashed her own world record at the 400 meters freestyle event Sunday at the Rio Olympic Games. The 19-year-old swimmer touched the wall in a time of 3 minutes 56.46 seconds, knocking nearly 2 seconds off the record to earn her first gold medal of the 2016 Summer Games.
