Croatian Parliament Votes to Dissolve

The Croatian parliament voted Monday to dissolve, paving the way for new elections to be held in early September. Support to dissolve parliament was overwhelming, with 137 legislators voting in favor of it, two against and one abstaining. The vote came one week after lawmakers ousted Prime Minister Tihomir Oreskovic with a vote of no-confidence. The dissolution of parliament takes effect on July 15.
