US Unemployment Drops to 4.7 Percent, but Few New Jobs Seen

U.S. companies slowed their hiring last month to the lowest level in more than five years, but the jobless rate also declined to 4.7 percent. Overall, economists said Friday's report was disappointing, and they predicted it will prompt the U.S. central bank to leave key interest rates unchanged when governors meet later this month.
