Learning Foreign Language Helps US Soldiers Bridge Culture Gap

Understanding a foreign culture and being able to communicate with the local population is a key component of military strategy in a foreign theater. Language familiarity and cultural awareness at times could mean the difference between a mission’s success or failure.
