US Companies Recognized for Enterprises in Asia, South America

A company that employs several hundred people in rural Indonesia, a firm that trained over 12,000 farmers in Vietnam and one that built a clean energy facility in Uruguay are this year’s recipients of a U.S. Award for Corporate Excellence. The three U.S. firms were recognized at the State Department on Tuesday for promoting environmental sustainability, human rights, and small and medium enterprises. VOA’s Pam Dockins has the story.
