US Would Welcome Russian Focus on Islamic State

President Barack Obama said Wednesday the U.S. would welcome Russia shifting more of its efforts in Syria to confronting the Islamic State group instead of "propping up" Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. Obama called Islamic State "the principle threat," and noted that the downing of a Russian jet last month in Egypt may push President Vladimir Putin to change his focus.
