Egypt: Russian Plane Crashed in Sinai, 224 Aboard

Egyptian officials say a Russian passenger plane with 224 people onboard has crashed in the central Sinai peninsula after taking off from the resort of Sharm-el Sheikh. Initial reports says the chartered aircraft was an Airbus A-321 carrying 217 passengers and a crew of seven. Authorities are searching for the plane.  There is no immediate word on casualties.
