Republicans Struggle to Elect New Leader

The ultra-conservative Freedom Caucus announced Wednesday that a majority of its members support Republican U.S. Congressman Paul Ryan for speaker of the House of Representatives. The support fell short of the 80 percent needed for a formal endorsement which Ryan said he would need to run for the post. VOA’s Katherine Gypson has more.
