Attacker Killed After Trying to Stab Israeli Policeman

The tense Old City section of east Jerusalem saw another violent encounter Monday when an attacker tried to stab an Israeli policeman before being shot dead. A spokesman for the Israeli Defense Forces said the attack happened near the Lions Gate and that the knife was deflected by the policeman's protective vest.
