Le Secrétaire général de l'ONU, Ban Ki-moon, a condamné un attentat à la bombe dimanche dans le district d'Attock dans la province du Pendjab au Pakistan et s'est dit attristé par la mort d'au moins une dizaine de personnes, dont le ministre de l'intérieur du Pendjab, Shuja Khanzada, et par les nombreux blessés dans cet attentat.
