800 Rescued Migrants Arrive in Italy

About 800 migrants arrived in Italy Saturday aboard a Norwegian ship that had rescued them off the Libyan coast Thursday. The Italian Coast Guard said that 48 children and 94 women were in the group, believed to be mostly from Syria and Sub-Saharan countries. They were transported to the port of Reggio Calabria and after the initial health checks, the migrants would be sent to reception centers across Italy.
