Camille Soprann Hildevert "Caribean People (Waxist Selecta Edit)" - Boiler Room Debuts

Well, think twice. Music touches all corners of the map and with some determination, you can happen upon gems from almost any time and place in human history. That open-ended, curious mentality provides sustaining fuel for all the finest diggers – and Deano Sounds of Boston is right up there with the very best of them. His label Cultures of Soul are a true office, traipsing an impressively broad landscape and picking the sweetest fruits. We premiered a track off the first Tropical Disco Hustle and were harassing poor Jeff for the second instalment before it had even been sent for mastering, but with good reason! "Caribean People" (spelling intentional) is a super rare cut from 1980, given a lick of new paint from Parisian rework maestro Waxist Selecta, who stretches the African-lilting groove here n there, switching up tempo at will. It's gold; unsurprisingly, the entire compilation is. Cop it May 5th. → FOLLOW US HERE FOR MORE FUN: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/boilerroom.tv Twitter: https://twitter.com/boilerroomtv Soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/platform
