Winter Storm Blankets, Bogs Down Northeast US

A winter storm reaching from Texas to New England closed schools, canceled more than 3,400 flights and stranded hundreds of drivers overnight in Kentucky, where as much as 21.5 inches (55 cm) of snow fell.
