Boko Haram Attacks Niger Border Town

Witnesses say Nigerian militant group Boko Haram attacked a town in Niger Friday, the group's second cross-border attack this week. Residents of Bosso, a town of about 50,000 on Niger's southern border, reported hearing explosions and gunfire as the Islamic extremist fighters invaded the town.  The Associated Press quotes a Bosso resident as saying the fighters withdrew after an hourlong battle with soldiers.
