UN marks International Day in Memory of Holocaust Victims

The United Nations is commemorating the liberation by allied forces 70 years ago today, of Auschwitz Birkenau, the German Nazi concentration and extermination camp, with a special meeting of the General Assembly, which will be addressed by Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, Reuven Rivlin, the President of Israel, a Holocaust survivor, and a Soviet Army veteran.
