US-led Coalition Launches 27 Strikes Against IS Targets

The U.S.-led coalition says it has launched another 27 airstrikes against Islamic State targets in Syria and Iraq. The U.S. military said Monday that the air attacks hit Islamic State fighting positions and buildings near Kobani, the Syrian town near the Turkish border where Kurdish fighters and insurgents have been battling for control for months.
