USAID Chief Submits Resignation

Rajiv Shah, head of the United States' global development agency, announced Wednesday that he would resign in February. In a statement, Shah, who was confirmed in 2009 as the 16th administrator of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), said he was stepping down with mixed emotions.  A USAID spokesman said Shah was stepping down to begin a new chapter in his life and that he was looking forward to spending more time with his young family.
