US Plans to Arm Sunni Tribesmen in Iraq

The U.S. says it is planning to buy arms for Sunni tribesmen in Iraq in an expanded effort to try to halt the advance of Islamic State militants. In a document prepared for Congress, the Defense Department says the weapons purchase would cost more than $18 million.
