Militants, Iraqi Forces Battle for Ramadi

The Islamic State militant group has launched a major attack on the Iraqi city of Ramadi, pounding the city with mortar rounds and setting off car bombs aimed at Iraqi forces. Local officials say the onslaught appears to be aimed at taking control of the provincial capital, one of the last areas in the western province of Anbar that is still under control of the Iraqi government. Islamic State gunmen are reported to be firing on government buildings in Ramadi. There is no estimate yet...
