UK: This off-road wheelchair can tackle any terrain

Want to know what gets our wheels spinning? Meet the Hex Hog all-terrain off-road wheelchair! SOT. Sion Pierce, creator of the Hex Hog (English): "Hex Hog gives people the opportunity to access rougher areas of the countryside safely and independently, when they wouldn't be able to do so before. And I think it is a new product and a new concept and it's brand new." Engineer Sion Pierce got behind the wheel of his impervious invention and rode roughshod through the unforgiving terrain of the Welsh village of Denbigh The Hex Hog wheelchair sports a six-wheel drive flexible undercarriage, which brings the back-country thrills of an ATV to the wheelchair bound. With a lithium-ion battery power plant, the 6x6 terrain warrior gives maximum independence to its riders all with the push of a joystick. It can tackle the harshest terrain and most extreme environments, including mud, water, snow and ice, to sandy beaches, ditches, steep hills and boulders. Pierce set the wheels in motion to the Hex Hog after seeing the restrictions faced by a wheelchair-bound family member anytime they ventured into the countryside together. Now the Hex Hog looks to make a wheely big impact on the lives of people with limited mobility.
