Senior Iraqi Commander Killed in Shelling

A senior Iraqi army commander has been killed in fighting west of the capital, Baghdad. Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki's office identified him Monday as Major General Negm Abdullah Ali, commander of Iraq's sixth division.
