US fans celebrate victory over Ghana

The U.S. is not known for its love of soccer. Football has taken off in the past few years, although it's still not as popular as other major US sports But fans across the US were ecstatic at their team's last minute dramatic 2-1 win against Ghana in the Brazil World Cup on Monday. Hundreds of supporters gathered at Hermosa Beach in California to watch the game. (SOUNDBITE)(English) FAN NAMED VINCENT SAYING "I'm ecstatic. This is historic. This was a great place to be for this victory. (SOUNDBITE)(English) SEAN ROBB SAYING "It was nuts. I thought we lost it at the end. I looked at the screen after they scored and I was just..woah." The win perhaps made amends for the last two World Cups, when the U.S. was knocked out by Ghana.
