Children evacuated from hostile Luhansk arrive in Odessa

Ukrainian children are pouring out of the train in Odessa. They're traveling from Luhansk, and hoping to leave the violence behind. (SOUNDBITE) (Russian) UNIDENTIFIED TEENAGER FROM LUHANSK, SAYING (WHEN ASKED ABOUT THE SITUATION IN LUHANSK): "At first it was fine, but then it became scary, when they started bombing. We were hiding in cellars." Five-hundred children arrived Friday. They have either been orphaned or lack adequate parental care. Tatyana Lazareva, the head of the regional board for science and education, said the children were slated to remain in Odessa until August. (SOUNDBITE) (Russian) TATYANA LAZAREVA, THE HEAD OF THE REGIONAL BOARD FOR SCIENCE AND EDUCATION, SAYING: "They all will be received at certain places. You can see there are buses waiting for them; psychologists and medical professionals will be working with them, because many of these children were under bullets, and have witnessed things that adults should not
