Baby rescued from flood waters in Bosnia

ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) STORY: Members of the Slovenian military rescued a three-month-old baby from heavy flooding in the northern town of Šamac, by Bosnia and Herzegovina's border with Croatia on Saturday (May 17). The rescue was part of a wider mission to deliver food and equipment to people affected by floods in the region. The Slovenian armed forces helped 52 people to evacuate the severely flooded area during the mission. Bosnia's government says more than 1 million people have been affected by the flooding and landslides, after days of the heaviest rainfall recorded in the Balkans since records began 120 years ago. Heavy flooding in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Croatia has killed more than 40 people and forced thousands of people to leave their homes.
