Father of Israeli captive Gilad Shalit addresses Gazans through U.N. testimony

Noam Shalit, father of Israel captive Gilad Shalit, was in Geneva today to deliver a powerful testimony to the U.N. fact-finding mission on the Gaza conflict. The panel also heard from Dr. Mirella Siderer, a gynecologist from Ashkelon whose face was disfigured when a Palestinian rocket hit her medical clinic — where she had treated not only Israeli patients, but also Palestinians from nearby Gaza. Other witnesses included Ashkelon Mayor Benny Vaknin and his colleague Dr. Alan Marcus, and Noam Bedein of the Sderot Media Center.
