For India’s Muslims, Votes Not Dictated by Imam

During India’s massive democratic exercise that wrapped up this week, political parties reached out to the country’s nearly 180 million Muslims in hopes of winning their vote. Many politicians sought the endorsement of imams who in turn could sway members of their community.
