The United Nations and Arab League Special Envoy to Syria, Lakdar Brahimi, has resigned. U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon says he accepted Brahimi's resignation, effective May 31, after discussing it with Nabil ElAraby, head of the Arab League.
