Blast Destroys Hotel in Historic Aleppo District

An explosion has leveled a hotel in Syria's historic old city of Aleppo. Activists and state media said rebel fighters were responsible for the blast Thursday at the 150-year-old Carlton Hotel. Activists, including the Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, said the explosion also killed government troops, but did not say how many.
