6.0-Magnitude Quakes Shakes Thailand

A strong, shallow 6.0-magnitude earthquake rattled northern Thailand on Monday afternoon, geologists said, shaking tall buildings in Bangkok hundreds of kilometers to the south.   The quake, which struck 32 kilometers southwest of the town of Chiang Rai, was felt in the capital, Bangkok, 800 kilometers to the south, residents said.   People were evacuated from the main airport in Chiang Rai.
