Vice President Joe Biden said in Kiev today that “It is time for Russia to stop talking and start acting—act on the commitments they made. We need to see these kinds of concrete steps, “Time is short in which to make progress.” Biden is in Ukraine to meet with Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk and make a determination as to whether Russia is abiding by the terms of the pact they signed on Thursday in Geneva. Under the agreement, Russia vowed to remove pro-Russian troops from government buildings in eastern Ukraine. BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi on Tuesday said no one need be scared of his government as his "mantra" is "fearlessness". In an interview to ABP News, Modi said: "After winning the polls in 2002, I went to Maninagar to thank the voters. I said in my speech that day that this government belongs to those who have voted for it, against it and even to those who have not voted." Modi also said when asked whether Muslims are scared of him. "The 'mantra' for my government is 'abhai (fearless)." The Election Commission said Tuesday, fresh elections in Thailand will be held in July or latest by September. The caretaker government under the leadership of acting premier Yingluck Shinawatra will consult with the Election Commission about the fresh elections for which a royal decree is yet to be issued. Election Commission Secretary General Puchong Nutravong said that the polling agency has offered three tentative choices for election dates to the political parties. A total of 53 political parties, including the ruling Pheu Thai Party, attended a meeting Tuesday with the Election Commission but failed to reach consensus on the election date.
