Famous Pakistani Journalist Shot, Wounded in Karachi

A famous Pakistani television talk show host has been shot in the latest wave of attacks on journalists in the country. Authorities say Hamid Mir, a host for the private television channel Geo, was wounded in the attack in Karachi Saturday but is expected to survive. Police say he suffered at least three gunshot wounds to the stomach, leg and pelvic area. The gunmen were in a car and on motorcycles when they opened fire on Mir's car near the Karachi airport.
