Singer accused of rape, De Niro opens Tribeca

Bryan Singer has been accused of drugging and raping a teenage boy in California and Hawaii in the late 1990s, according to a lawsuit filed in U.S. court. The lawsuit alleges the producer and director used his influence as a Hollywood insider, as well as a range of drugs and alcohol, to force sex on the boy. Reps for Singer have denied the claims, which have been made just weeks before the release of his upcoming film, "X-Men: Days of Future Past." Robert De Niro hit the red carpet for the opening of the Tribeca Film Festival. Now in its 13th year, the festival opened with the Nas documentary "Time is Illmatic." Tribeca will run from April 16-27 and will screen more than 85 feature films and documentaries. Organizers of the 67th Cannes Film Festival revealed the official festival poster - a sepia-toned portrait of the Italian actor Marcello Mastroianni. The official line-up has was also announced.
