'Pollen Vortex' Predicted for This Spring

Be forewarned fellow allergy sufferers, this Spring season is predicted to be an extremely bad one. Experts think it's only going to take a string of just four to five consecutive warm days for excessive amounts of pollen to surround us. Be forewarned fellow allergy sufferers, this Spring season is predicted to be an extremely bad one. Experts think it's only going to take a string of just four to five consecutive warm days for excessive amounts of pollen to surround us.They’re deeming the upcoming conditions as a ‘pollen vortex’. The major problem is the result of this past winter’s brutal, unrelenting cold temperatures in the American Midwest and Canada. Now that the long-awaited Spring season is finally here, pollinating trees are going to be spewing very high levels of pollen to make up for the fewer warm days we’ve had this year. Microbiologist Jason Tetro elaborated on the dire pollen forecast remarking “We're going to get a huge blast of warm air and the trees are going to essentially create 40 times the amount of pollen in the air in a few days.” Tetro went even further by saying the warm environment is going to be what he calls a ‘fog of pollen’. In preparation for it, he advises sufferers take Vitamin D to beef up and balance their immune system, consume fermented foods and use anti-histamines for treatment to make the symptoms a little less miserable. Above all, prepare for the worst and have lots of Kleenex handy.
